JR Inventory Technician (Heavy Equipment) โ€“ Entry level

Sureway Construction is one of Albertaโ€™s largest heavy construction contractors, involved in; civil earthworks and grading, utilities and offsite, mine operation and aggregate extraction.

Job Type: Full Time, Permanent

Schedule: 10+ Hours/day, Saturdays and Sundays as required, Schedule as per Operational Requirements, OT after 8hr/day or 44hr/week

Location: 9175 โ€“ 14 Street NW, Edmonton, AB - no direct access to public transportation

Essential: Hard-working, reliable, flexible with schedule, ability to work in physically demanding conditions

Requirements:

  • Personal Reliable Vehicle
  • CSA approved steel toed boots with 6โ€ ankle support

Pre-employment:

  • Drug and alcohol testing (swab-based test)
  • Successful completion of Company Orientation and site-specific orientation
  • Fitness to Work Assessment

 

JR Inventory Technician Responsibilities:

  • Identify, bin locate and store inventory of various makes and models of heavy-duty construction equipment.
  • Determine warehouse deficiencies when reviewing inventory records, document accurate stock numbers and report any newly found discrepancy to supervisor.
  • Assist parts drivers with deliveries, pick-ups and other tasks as required.
  • Coordinate with vendors and suppliers regarding deliveries, returns, and warranty claims.
  • Operate forklift to assist with organization and efficiency of the shop operations.
  • Develop internal systems to ensure inventory is stocked efficiently; and organized effectively to ensure smooth operations of parts department.

 JR Inventory Technician Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 1 + yearsโ€™ experience is preferred.
  • Hard working and mechanically inclined.
  • Strong interest in working with and learning about heavy equipment.
  • Computer skills required.
