Position Summary:

We are currently seeking Wind Turbine Technicians local to the city of Bloomington, IL with required travel up to 50% to work in the state of Illinois, that can join our dynamic team. Qualified candidates will be responsible for the operations and maintenance of multiple brands of services, namely elevators, to include troubleshooting and repair of mechanical and electrical components on wind farm sites.

Essential Job Functions:

The following duties are considered essential to the role. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions:

Carry out duties with a primary focus on safety and quality.

Understand both the metric and imperial measurement systems.

Consistently complete timecards with detailed descriptions of work performed, expense reports for reimbursement of airline baggage fees, company vehicle car washes and other job-related incidentals eligible for repayment.

Read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.

Apply principles, techniques, procedures, and equipment to design and production of various goods and services.

Problem-solve issues as they arise.

Troubleshoot equipment, machines, wiring or computer programs issues.

Understand direct current electricity, alternating current electricity, and electronics.

Write reports, complete work orders, chart information and track progress on tasks.

Effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, and fellow employees.

Lead teams, train new employees, and complete reports when needed.

Conduct activities in line with internal procedures, legislation, and industry standards.

Pursue continuous professional development and maintain a high degree of discipline knowledge and awareness.

Work in a safe manner at all times and report all health and safety incidents and concerns.

Additional duties as required.

Required Qualifications:

If entry-level, provide proof of Wind Technician Certification from an accredited Wind Academy or equivalent Trade School.

Able to travel for in-state site work, training and other company functions up to 50%.

Possess excellent electrical and mechanical skills.

Knowledge of turbine-related machinery and tools, including their design, uses, repair and maintenance.

Knowledge of circuit boards, electronic equipment, computer hardware and software, including applications and programming.

Knowledge of relevant equipment, policies, procedures, and strategies to promote effective local, state, or national security operations for protection of people, property, and institutions.

Willing to learn and progress into a stronger role, such as troubleshooting, commissioning or serving as lead technician on site.

Any experience with turbine technology and/or being up-tower on platforms welcomed, including Solar/Off-shore experience.

Ability to read and interpret schematics, diagrams, work instructions, manuals.

Physical Requirements:

Capable of lifting at least 40-100 lbs.

Capable of bending, twisting, and lifting items overhead.

Capable of climbing a wind tower up to 400 ft in height up to three times daily.

Additional Information

Fluent English verbal and written communications skills are required.

Must have current valid driver's license and fit-to-drive record with no more than two moving violations in the past three years, including passing a Motor Vehicle Record.

Ability to pass a criminal background check (project/client dependent and you will be notified if needed).
