JOB SUMMARY

The Field Engineer is an entry-level position designed for individuals seeking professional growth toward a Superintendent role. This role is ideal for candidates who are detail-oriented, tech-savvy, and dynamic. Field Engineers are based on-site daily, supporting active commercial construction projects in close collaboration with Project Managers and/or Superintendents. The Field Engineer also works closely with management on various aspects of the project, with clearly defined responsibilities. They assist the team with oversight of all field-related activities, including jobsite safety, cost control, quality assurance, and schedule adherence, with a focus on delivering high-quality results and exceptional service to our clients. Additional duties include maintaining strong working relationships with clients, architects, consultants, and subcontractors. All tasks are performed in alignment with the company's mission, vision, and core values.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Authorized to work in the United States without the need for current or future visa sponsorship.
  • Must have a valid driver's license.
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred or experience in related field.

  • Must be able to work flexible hours. Work hours will be consistent with a Field Engineer in the Construction industry.


JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage the daily operations of the construction site, ensuring cleanliness, safety, and adherence to plans and schedule.
  • Coordinate subcontractors and suppliers in collaboration with the Project Manager and Superintendent to maintain the project schedule and quality standards.
  • Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders (leadership, project team) and external stakeholders (clients, architects, consultants), including preparing and distributing meeting notes, RFIs, submittals, and change orders.
  • Partner with the Project Manager during construction to budget, manage, and forecast resources such as craft labor, equipment, materials, tools, consumables, and general conditions.
  • Monitor site activity to ensure compliance with building codes, safety regulations (including OSHA), and company quality standards.
  • Proactively plan and resolve workflow issues to keep the project on track.
  • Support site logistics, daily work coordination, and tracking of tools, materials, and equipment.
  • Obtain and manage required permits and licenses.
  • Assist with risk identification, analysis, and mitigation throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Ensure all contractual conditions of performance are met using proper construction methods and standards.
  • Maintain complete, accurate, and organized project documentation, including tool inventory, safety reports, and punch lists.
  • Understand and apply company policies, procedures, and best practices, including use of the Master Forms Library.
  • Participate in ongoing training, educational opportunities, and company events, representing CPPI professionally.
  • Uphold workplace safety standards and immediately report any safety issues to the project team.
  • Support efforts to exceed client expectations throughout the project delivery process.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
