Job description

Amentum is seeking an RF Engineer to join our team providing technical and engineering support to the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Norfolk, VA.
Radio Frequency Engineer Responsibilities Include:
  • Conducting electromagnetic environment (EME) and radio frequency (RF) assessments of DoD surface vessels, submarines, and shore facilities for hazards to ordnance, personnel, and fuel, as part of our RADHAZ Survey Team.
  • Traveling worldwide to measure EMEs, analyze data, conduct research, and develop technical reports that provide operational guidance for Fleet personnel.
  • Conducting RADHAZ desk top analysis and develop, maintain, and produce technical documentation.

Minimum Qualifications and experience:
  • A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in a scientific or engineering field such as Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or Physics Demonstrate knowledge and capability to conduct RF measurements.
  • One year of general Experience in electronics, physics, or RF energy.
  • Average 25% CONUS travel and occasional OCONUS travel.
  • One year experience with conducting, analyzing, or testing electronic systems testing or conducting RF measurements.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a SECRET US Government Clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain a SECRET Clearance. (Must have at minimum, an interim Secret level security clearance, prior to start)
  • Recent college graduates are encouraged to apply.

Compensation Details:
US: $75,000 to $100,000
