The Port Huron site, located 50 miles north of Detroit, focuses on the manufacturing and reconditioning of PCD tools. It is the U.S. Headquarters for sales, engineering, design and administration.
The MAPAL Group is an international supplier of precision tools for the machining of almost all materials. The family business has 4,850 employees worldwide and sees itself as a technology partner to its customers.

YOUR TASKS:
  • Trains and learns base processes and steps to consider, determine and recommend best designs for customer and pricing beginning with simple designs. Design concepts for customers' process for all product lines
  • Trains and learns to analyze customer requirements for producing parts (quality of holes or surfaces; SPC requirements and tolerances) and create proposal drawings based on RFQ
  • Trains and learns how to revise and document all changes to existing and new product designs
  • Trains and learns supporting operations by reviewing, recommending and troubleshooting issues related to production runs
  • Trains and learns how to manage, administer and ensure all proposals and quotes are accurate and in accordance with all MAPAL Inc procedures and policies including all documentation
  • Ensure work area and equipment are maintained, organized and clean to Mapal standards
  • Exceed and exhibit all Mapal Inc. behaviors as defined by policy, procedure and standards
  • Actively participates in all cross-functional team projects and assignments as directed by Plant Manager
  • Additional entry level responsibilities as needs present
