Job Summary

The Warehouse Assistant is responsible for supporting the Warehouse Lead by efficiently supporting M&H personnel by providing necessary supplies and equipment in a timely manner.

Key Communication Partners

Resource Staff, Area Managers, General Superintendents, Superintendents. Fore/Leadmen, Project Managers, Project Engineers and Office administration.

Typical Duties

  • Maintain a safety-first culture and actively participate in the Safety Bucks program.
  • Use of personal protective equipment as needed.
  • Participate in the weekly Toolbox Safety Meeting.
  • Promptly report warehouse, yard and equipment incidents.
  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks and other machinery safely.
  • Receive, inspect and store incoming materials, tools and equipment.
  • Organize and clean the warehouse/yard to ensure safe storage and retrieval of materials.
  • Prepare materials, tools and equipment as requested by M&H personnel.
  • Assist warehouse consumable purchases by M&H personnel and accurately recorded in google workspace as needed.
  • Assist in assigning small tool numbers and transfers are accurately recorded in Vista as needed.
  • Assisting tools and equipment are repaired in a timely manner.
  • Assist in facility maintenance and repairs as directed by Warehouse Lead.
  • Remove all trash from all facility containers and on Railroad Ave as directed.
  • Travel to pick up or drop off materials and equipment as directed.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.
  • Maintain a positive work environment.
  • Be available to work overtime (including weekends) to support M&H personnel needs.

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills and/or ability required. Education and Experience: High School Diploma or GED preferred.

Experience: Entry level with some knowledge of small tools and equipment (highly valued but not required).

Language Skills: Ability in converse in English (Spanish highly valued but not required).

Certificates, Licenses, and Registration: CA driver's license with a clean driving record; Forklift Certified (preferred but not required).

Reasoning Ability: Apply common sense understanding to carry out multiple step instructions. Deal with standardized situations with occasional variables.

Compensation:

$17.00 - $19.00 /hr, based on skills, knowledge, and experience
