Job description

Are you eager to kickstart your engineering career? At Garver's Water Design Center in Greenville, SC, we offer an exciting opportunity to immerse yourself in impactful projects and accelerate your professional development. As a Site Civil Project Engineer, you'll gain hands-on experience in designing and optimizing essential water and wastewater systems, all while collaborating with experienced engineers from various fields who will mentor and guide you. This role is for motivated individuals who are ready to learn, contribute to significant projects, and build a solid foundation for a successful career in civil engineering.
What You'll Do:
As a Site Civil Project Engineer, you'll be involved in a variety of design tasks, including:
  • Developing and optimizing conveyance systems for treatment plant processes
  • Creating detailed site layouts, grading plans, and stormwater management designs
  • Designing site access, paving, and distribution systems, including piping and pump stations
  • Planning and evaluating collection systems, including interceptor and outfall piping

What We're Looking For:
  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering from an ABET-accredited program
  • 0-2 years experience in site civil design
  • Engineer in Training (EIT), or ability to obtain registration within 6 months of hire
  • Strong communication skills and proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
  • A proactive, team-oriented approach and a genuine enthusiasm for engineering

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in civil, environmental, or a related engineering discipline
  • Familiarity with Autodesk software, including AutoCAD and Revit
  • Experience with site layout or land development, utility piping, grading, drainage systems, and exposure to water and wastewater facilities
  • Active involvement in professional organizations
