Job description

We are looking for Maintenance Mechanics with experience working on production equipment. This individual must have a working knowledge of troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and control issues. They are responsible for ensuring all equipment and machines are in good operational condition and will assist management on assigned projects.

Must enjoy working in an extremely fast-paced environment. (We are willing to train the right person if you are mechanically inclined.) Responsibilities: Cleans and sterilizes all equipment per SOP requirements. Performs general preventative maintenance tasks as stated in the procedures

Stays current on all related cGMP and SOP issued training assigned by management. Maintains a set of tools supplied by the Maintenance Management. (Specialized tools will be provided by the company.) Available for emergency call-backs as required and is flexible toward work hours, including holidays or plant shutdown periods

Completes reports accurately and on time. Assists Maintenance Mechanic II in basic repairs on machinery such as counters, fillers, cappers, labelers, unscramblers, conveyors, and other related equipment. Learns the proper use of maintenance documentation which is required under cGMPs (i.e

Maintenance Work Order system, Preventative Maintenance Documentation forms, SOP documentation, and the use of Equipment Log Books) Completes maintenance work orders and entry-level preventive maintenance tasks. Assist in basic repairs for equipment (i.e. checks voltage, checks & replaces fuses, checks plumbing, checks air, checks gas, etc.) Follows/enforces that everyone adheres to the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's), Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP's), Standard Safety Practices, and all company policies/procedures

Completes other projects and duties as assigned by management. May periodically travel from/to other RPI locations. Qualifications: Minimum High School diploma or GED 1-3 years of work experience (Maintenance/Mechanical Environment).

Communication Skills (verbal/written) - able to speak clearly and accurately to ensure effective department operations. Must have flexible hours, including holidays or plant shutdown periods. Detail Oriented - pays close attention to detail, accuracy, and completeness, double-checking their work.

Honesty/Integrity - follow through with company values and provide exceptional quality products. Problem Solving - works systematically and logically to resolve problems, able to identify causation and anticipate results. Safety Minded - follows/demonstrates awareness of all safety policies/procedures of self and others.
