Our Engineering Services team is seeking a Technical Project Manager with recent experience in Software Development and cross-functional project management, particularly as it pertains to product release management.

You will show your technical skills by assembling and re-flashing custom hardware; reproducing issues; collecting logs; debugging; sanity testing fixes and features. You will show your project management skills by planning software releases; responding quickly to customer requests; collecting and documenting customer requirements; coming to agreements on deliver content and schedules & managing the day-to-day project progression. You will have recent software development experience (ideally in the Embedded and RTOS Market), to direct, manage, and coordinate the delivery and implementation of major or complex projects within cost, schedule and contract limitations while ensuring total customer satisfaction.

What you'll do:

  • Lead crossfunctional, global teams across engineering, finance, sales, and external partners to deliver technically complex software programs.
  • Own endtoend program execution-from planning and estimation through delivery-ensuring optimal use of shared engineering resources within time and budget constraints.
  • Build and maintain detailed project plans and schedules for large, multitrack initiatives, identifying dependencies and critical paths.
  • Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate technical and program risks to keep highimpact projects on track.
  • Coordinate the breakdown and distribution of work packages across internal teams and external contractors, ensuring clarity, accountability, and delivery alignment.
  • Act as a central point of contact between software developers, technical leads, contractors, and customers, translating requirements into executable plans.
  • Monitor progress across the full lifecycle, resolving issues quickly and effectively to meet delivery commitments.
  • Contribute to or lead the creation of contracts and statements of work with external partners (an asset).
  • Provide clear, datadriven status, schedule, budget, and technical reporting to stakeholders.
  • Collaborate closely with Finance, Marketing, Sales, and Engineering Services customers to align execution with business goals.

What we're looking for:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Proven experience in one of the following:
  • Technical Program / Project Management for softwaredriven products, or
  • Software Development experience (C, C++, Java, or similar) with significant customerfacing exposure.
  • Strong understanding of UNIXbased operating systems and embedded software environments.
  • Experience leading people, projects, or complex technical initiatives.
  • Demonstrated strength in planning, prioritization, decisionmaking, and problem solving.
  • Solid knowledge of software development lifecycles, program governance, and contractual processes.
  • Experience managing software implementation and deployment projects in AGILE environments.
  • Familiarity with OS microcontrollers and embedded platforms.
  • Comfortable managing multiple concurrent projects with competing timelines and priorities.
  • Background in embedded software and RTOS development is highly desirable.

If you have experience with any of these, then great!

  • Experience delivering commercial software implementations in the Embedded or RTOS market.
  • Handson exposure to QNX.
  • Experience supporting or implementing quality and compliance standards such as:
  • ISO 9001
  • SEICMMI
  • IEC 61508 / IEC 62304
  • SPICE (ISO/IEC 15504)
  • Common Criteria (ISO 15408)
  • ISO 26262

Compensation Hiring Base Salary Range:

$108,750.00 - $158,750.00
