Overview:

We are seeking an innovative Manufacturing Test Engineer (Software/Embedded) to join a global, cross-functional engineering team supporting the development and maintenance of manufacturing test systems. This role focuses on enhancing and supporting existing products across multiple global manufacturing sites.

The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in software development for electronics systems and be comfortable working across software, hardware, and systems engineering domains.

Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain robust, safety-critical manufacturing test systems

Support updates and enhancements to existing production systems

Integrate software, hardware, and systems engineering components

Drive improvements in test platform standardization and scalability

Contribute to solutions addressing:

Platform management

Technical debt

Data management

Cybersecurity

Apply and promote software engineering best practices

Collaborate within a cross-functional Agile team (Scrum/SAFe environment)

Participate in sprint planning, product increment planning, and team ceremonies

Work closely with global stakeholders and distributed teams

Utilize modern CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tools

Communicate project timelines, risks, and technical challenges

Provide Tier 2 support for manufacturing test equipment in live production

Required Skills & Experience:

Education: Bachelorโ€™s Degree (required)

Software Development:

Proficiency in object-oriented programming languages such as C#, C++, or Python

Experience with Windows-based application development

Strong understanding of software configuration management

Hands-on experience with Git and version control practices

Familiarity with CI/CD and DevOps concepts

Systems & Integration:

Experience with hardware-software integration and troubleshooting

Understanding of communication protocols such as I2C, SPI, or similar

Exposure to industrial communication protocols (e.g., CIP) is a plus

Knowledge of electronic hardware and mechanical design concepts

Testing & Tools:

Experience testing integrated hardware-software systems

Familiarity with test equipment (e.g., multimeters, DMMs)

Exposure to tools such as:

Visual Studio / Visual Studio Code

Test automation platforms (e.g., NI TestStand or similar)

Additional Skills:

Knowledge of safety-critical or high-reliability software development

Familiarity with secure coding practices and frameworks

Exposure to modern firmware development and security concepts

Experience with PLC programming (nice to have)

Familiarity with AI-assisted coding tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot or similar)

Agile & Collaboration:

Experience working in Agile environments (Scrum, SAFe)

Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar

Ability to collaborate effectively with globally distributed teams

Additional Details:

Duration: 07 Months with possibility of extension
