Position Summary

The job is full-time and based in Lafayette, IN. Days and hours of work are generally Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. but are flexible based on need. Travel is not required for this role.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Product design including printed circuit boards and firmware applications.
  • Schematic capture and printed circuit board layout including new designs and maintenance of existing designs, custom component spec’ing and sourcing.
  • Production technician support including product checkout, repair and troubleshooting as needed.
  • Documentation support including creating and maintaining production assembly procedures, technical checkout procedures, engineering change orders and quality control documents.
  • Quality and compliance support including documentation and testing for compliance to FDA, CE, ISO and GMP standards.
  • Manufacturing support including process troubleshooting, replacement of obsolete components, and repair guidance.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Engineering Manager.
Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Attributes) Education/Licenses/Certification
  • Four-year degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology or equivalent experience in product design and support


Preferred Experience
  • Printed circuit board design using Easy-PC
  • Embedded systems development
  • Developing in Microchip environments using MPLAB
  • Troubleshooting both hardware and firmware
  • Soldering
  • Pick-in-Place and AOI
  • Circuit analysis tools such as multimeters and oscilloscopes.
  • Acumatica ERP system
  • Asana project management
