Job description

The Illinois Bankers Association (IBA) seeks to fill an immediate opening for Marketing & Membership Manager. This position plays an important role in helping the Association understand, engage, retain and grow its membership. The ideal candidate will be a strong communicator with experience in marketing, membership engagement, customer service and database management.

Working closely with the Director of Marketing and teams across the Association, this individual will support strategic marketing initiatives, strengthen member relationships, promote IBA programs and services and assist with member recruitment and retention efforts. The position helps ensure members receive value from their IBA membership and remain connected to the organization.

Core Responsibilities Include:

  • Supporting the development and execution of marketing campaigns, email communications, social media content, website updates, advertisements and promotional materials.
  • Supporting the development and execution of member recruitment, retention, onboarding and engagement initiatives designed to strengthen relationships and increase member participation.
  • Managing and maintaining the Associationโ€™s CRM and membership database to ensure accurate member records and reporting.
  • Creating and managing targeted communication lists and using member engagement data to support marketing and membership strategies.
  • Supporting strategic marketing plans and communications campaigns that advance Association goals.

Education and/or Experience:

  • Bachelorโ€™s or Associate degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations or a related field preferred.
  • Three or more years of experience in marketing, communications, membership engagement, association management, customer success or a related field.
  • Experience working with a CRM or association management system preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment while working independently and collaboratively.

Technical Requirements:

  • Experience with email marketing platforms such as Informz preferred.
  • Familiarity with Canva and Adobe Creative Cloud applications preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, Word and Excel.

Additional Information:

  • While the position is primarily based in Springfield, IL, occasional travel is required, including some overnight stays.
  • This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Pay Range: $57,000-$67,000 annually with a generous benefits package that includes employee health insurance, life insurance, and LTD paid by employer; dental, STD and vision offered; 401(k) with match; FSA available; PTO and paid holidays.
