Position purpose
Part-time laboratory technician position (20 hours per week) for its bachelor of science in Electronic Engineering Technologies - Avionics and Electronics concentrations. Both degree programs are housed within the engineering and engineering technology department at Vaughn.
Major Responsibilities/Duties/Functions/Tasks
- Maintaining all existing equipment
- Setting up of lab experiments
- Purchasing of consumable parts
- Evaluate and recommend new equipment
- monitor and plan new lab experiments
- Assist the faculty in the teaching of all related courses, assist in the planning of the layout and development of existing and future labs.

Education and/or Experience Requirements
A Bachelor degree in the appropriate field(s) is required. Experience in electronic engineering technology with background in avionics are highly desirable.

Work environment and physical functions
This position is located in a laboratory environment. Generally, an employee needs to be able to sit, stand, and navigate within the laboratory area. The office equipment either individually used or shared with a department is the responsibility of all employees.
Compensation
The entry level compensation for this position is expected to be $20.00 per hour.
