Advanced Assembly, Inc. (AAI), located in University Research Park on the west side of Madison, is hiring for multiple manufacturing production opportunities within our electronics manufacturing operation.
AAI is an electronics manufacturing services provider of electronic assemblies and products, including the Captioned Telephone (CapTel). Our reputation is built on quality, reliability, and consistent production performance.
This posting includes multiple openings for:

• Assemblers
• Machine Operators

Schedule & Pay
All positions are full-time with two shift options:

• First Shift: Monday-Thursday: 5:30 AM - 3:00 PM, Friday: 5:30 AM - 9:30 AM
• Second Shift: Monday-Thursday: 2:45 PM - 12:45 AM

Starting Pay

• Assembler: $19.00/hr (1st shift) | $20.00/hr (2nd shift)
• Machine Operator: $20.00/hr (1st shift) | $21.00/hr (2nd shift)

Wage depending on experience.
Sign-On Bonus
New employees are eligible for a $1,500 sign-on bonus, paid following successful completion of the 90-day probationary period.
JOB DESCRIPTIONS
Assembler
Job Summary: The Assembler I position is responsible for performing routine, repetitive assembly tasks to produce products that meet established quality standards and specifications. This is an entry-level position requiring attention to detail, ability to follow instructions, and consistent production output.
Essential Functions: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

• Assemble products and sub-assemblies according to written documentation.
• Test functional performance of assemblies using various meters and test equipment.
• Move material to and from work area.
• Minimal soldering of components may be required.
• Utilize small hand tools, jigs, and fixtures.
• Package product per process instructions.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned by primary supervisor.

Supervisory Responsibilities: No direct reports.

• Manufacturing experience preferred.
• Ability to read, speak, and understand both verbal and written instructions in the English language.

Machine Operator
Job Summary: Machine Operators are responsible for everyday machine operation of the Surface Mount (SMT), Coating, Wave or Automated Optical Inspection (AOI) equipment. This is an entry-level Machine Operator position.

• Follow directions, read from, and interpret written instructions.
• Make sound judgments while operating production equipment.
• Organize responsibilities to achieve maximum output to meet production and quality requirements.
• Understand and follow all applicable quality system procedures and perform all assigned responsibilities outlined in the quality system.
• Keep work areas neat and organized.
• Follow established product handling procedures consistently.
• Setup, run and tear down jobs on each of the production lines.
• Operate the SMT line, Wave, coating or AOI equipment.
• Provide general assistance to the workflow when and where needed.
• Perform daily cleaning of machine as needed.
• Follow the daily checklist.
• Communicate with the Automation Technicians, Supervisor, or Team Leads on quality issues.
• Verify parts on the line.
• Assist Automation Technicians as needed.

• Perform other job-related duties as assigned by primary supervisor.

• Ability to fill out daily records and logs.
• Ability to distinguish colors, fine circuit detail, and tones.
