Job Summary
Morley Moss, Inc. - Electrical General Foreman - Sunnyvale, TX (DFW Area)
We are seeking experienced Electrical General Foreman to lead new construction projects across the DFW area. This role is responsible for overseeing field operations, managing crews, ensuring safety compliance, and delivering projects on time and within budget. The General Foreman partners with Project Managers and field leadership to ensure successful execution aligned with company values.
Safety is first and foremost. Oversee the everyday activities of your assigned personnel such as Foreman, JIW, Helper/Apprentice. Procure, assign, assess, evaluate and allocate resources, material, tools and documents required for the project. Provide the most cost-effective and efficient means available in order to produce a profitable project. Everything you say and do reflects the values of Morley Moss. GF must schedule the crew with the Project Manager and/or Senior GF/Superintendent. On smaller projects with only a designated supervisor, they will assume all the duties of a Project Supervisor.

  • Must use all power tools, saws, threaders, wire tuggers, hydraulic benders, and knockout punches.
  • Capable of digging trenches, either by use of hand tools or power equipment.
  • Operate equipment, trenchers, backhoe, and lift trucks in a safe manner.
  • Practices and comprehends safe work procedures as outlined in M.M. Safety Policy Handbook, Haz-Com Policy, and Lockout/Tagout Policy.
  • Operate equipment, trenchers, backhoe, and lift trucks in a safe manner.
  • Operate two (2) handed tools/equipment, cable cutters, hammer drills, compression tools, and jack hammers.
  • Operate company trucks with manual and automatic transmission
  • Read and interpret maps, instructional manuals, specifications, work site directions, blueprints, and written instructions.
  • Operate and work from mechanical personnel lifts (electric or gas powered).
  • Supervise assigned job site employees to complete project.
  • Needs to be able to communicate effectively in English.
  • Bi-Lingual is a plus.
  • All other duties as assigned

Qualifications
  • Valid TDLR Electrical Journeyman License
  • 6+ years of electrical experience (commercial/industrial)
  • 2+ years as a Foreman
  • OSHA 30 Certification
  • CPR & First Aid Certification
  • NFPA 70E Training

Preferred Qulaificaitons:
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish)
  • Strong leadership and communication skills

Physical Demands
  • Needs to be able to move freely and comfortably in various positions, including bending, stooping, kneeling, climbing, and working overhead or in confined spaces.
  • Lifting and carrying: The ability to lift and carry materials and tools weighing up to 60 pounds.
  • Repetitive actions: Maintaining a standing position for long periods while performing repetitive actions such as grasping or manipulating wires.
  • Must be able to perform their job duties effectively and safely with the ability to be able to identify and voice Hazards, so that the corrections and precautionary measures can be made to avoid poor ergonomics, or any type of incidents.
  • Must have the demonstrated ability to effectively communicate in English, cooperate, and collaborate with multiple levels of employees and other professionals.
