Job description
An Engineering Mechanic Independently performs a variety of maintenance, repair or service duties to ensure the continuous operations of all assigned buildings or mechanical facilities in the laundry.
Responsibilities
- Performs preventive maintenance procedures on all equipment or assigned facilities.
- Inspects all assigned equipment, noting all defective or weak parts, and makes recommendations for corrections.
- Repairs, alters or reconstructs equipment and facilities, using appropriate materials, supplies or parts.
- Interprets plans, blueprints, schematic drawings and diagrams to ensure all work conforms to specified measurements and tolerances.
- Observes all safety regulations in the performance of duties to ensure protection of self, fellow workers, all equipment and facilities.
- Directs the daily activities of the Facilities Mechanic I and assists in the evaluation process.
- Positions that have contact with the public require the ability to work in a noisy
environment, and may be exposed to guests who use tobacco products. Also, non-public contact positions may be required to enter public areas from time to time, in connection with their duties, and may be subject to the same environment. - Disclaimer

Qualifications
- High School graduate or equivalent preferred.
- Minimum 2-3 yrs. experience preferred in one of the trades, including refrigeration, mechanical equipment, air conditioning, kitchen gas equipment, boilers, plumbing, generators or electrical equipment.
- Literate and fluent in English.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to retain information including proper use of various tools/equipment, safety procedures and various building layouts.
- Ability to work independently and as a team member.
- Ability to use common sense.
- Ability to provide sufficient hand tools for completion of assigned duties.
- Proficient in the use of hand tools/power tools including saws, drills, testing devices and specialized tools/equipment.
- Ability to uphold and demonstrate the highest level of integrity in all situations and recognize standards required by a regulated business
- Acts as a role model to other Team Members and always presents oneself as a credit to Caesars Entertainment and encourages others to do the same.
- Adheres to all regulatory, company and department policies and procedures
- Mobility and dexterity to constantly carry at least 30 lbs. and lift at least 100 lbs.
- Good distance and close proximity vision.
- Auditory range must include immediate environment.
- Olfaction range must include immediate environment
- Ability to grasp, reach, bend, twist, stoop and climb ladders.
- Able to tolerate working in high areas
- Ability to freely move about the work area
- Ability to work in a hot, humid, and noisy environment with variations in temperature in close quarters
