SEACORP is seeking a well-qualifiedSoftware Engineer I.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

Job Summary :SEACORP is seeking an entry level Software Engineers with ability to obtain a DoD Secret Clearance out of its main location in Middletown, RI. This role will work within a multidisciplinary team of SEACORP and government personnel to define, design, and integrate software capabilities into complicated military systems.

As a Software Engineer at SEACORP, you will be:

  • Assist and participate in the requirements, design, development and testing of a key feature in the USS-DSW including development of new work products or enhancement of existing applications and systems.
  • Design, code, test, integrate, and document software solutions.
  • Work on problems with defined scope, schedule, and expectations.
  • Participate in daily scrums, 2-3 week sprints, demonstration and retrospective ceremonies.
  • Work Includes Front and back end development.

Qualifications:

Education : Bachelor's Degree in Computer, Electrical or Electronics Engineering or Mathematics with a field of concentration in Computer Science.

Experience : Preferred knowledge of C++, Java, Python, Atlassian Tool Suite, Linux.Candidate should have the ability to be a to work in a fast pace work environments. Able to collaborate with others while being able to handle independent tasking. Ability to learn new technologies quickly.

Work Environment & Physical Demands: Office & Computer Laboratories - This positions requires the following physical activities: Sitting, standing, extended periods of time using a mouse and keyboard and looking at computer screens. Infrequent lifting of <40lbs. Movement between points within the same office or between buildings. Work is performed in generally consistent environmental conditions with some seasonality for temperature differences and lighting.
