Job Overview

Facilities Technician I maintains, services, and conducts minor repairs on buildings and equipment. Performs a variety of semiskilled duties in the areas of painting and plumbing. Develop knowledge of common mechanical systems such as fluid control, hydraulics, pneumatics, gas, vacuum, heating, cooling, welding, and conveyance. Work under close supervision while developing foundational skills. Will provide entry level maintenance support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Always follow safety procedures, including lock out-tag out and confined space.
  • Common area and event waste removal, floor cleaning, lighting issues, furniture setup and clean up.
  • Operates light trucks and assorted power equipment. Performs routine cleaning and maintenance on shop and office equipment/appliances.
  • Assists in performing preventative Maintenance such as troubleshooting and repair of production and facilities systems.
  • Develop knowledge of equipment, procedures and mechanical systems.
  • Accurate documentation of work completed and related findings.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Essential Qualifications

  • 0-2 years of related experience

  • Ability to work under close supervision and follow detailed instructions.
  • Valid driver's license (as required by site).
  • Ability to use and accurately read measuring devices.

  • Vocational training or certification in building maintenance, electrical, plumbing, or HVAC.
  • Forklift or aerial lift certification.
