Job Description

AECOM is hosting an exclusive, invitation-only hiring event in New York, New York October 15-16. This is a great opportunity to learn and connect with AECOM for career opportunities starting Spring/Summer 2027. 

The event kicks off on Wednesday evening with a networking mixer from 6-8 pm, where you can hear from AECOM staff about various projects, career paths, and the company itself. You'll also have the chance to meet other students, recent graduates, and AECOM professionals from across our business lines.

On Thursday and Friday, interviews will take place at our New York office. This is a fantastic opportunity to learn about and connect with AECOM for early career opportunities.

AECOM is seeking an Entry-Level Electrical Engineer to be based in New York.

This position is expected to begin in Spring/Summer 2027.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
  • Preparing designs and ensuring compliance with codes and regulations.
  • Developing and modifying single line diagrams, schematics, conduit and wire schedules.
  • Performing tests and issuing reports.
  • Developing technical, design and functional specifications for power, equipment and related systems.
  • Building technical documentation using client specifications and design standards.
  • Conducting research and analysis of client processes, operations and safety standards.
  • Reviewing vendor documentation to ensure compliance with client standards.
Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with AutoCAD, MicroStation, Revit3D Modeling or other design software.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication, writing and organizational skills.
