Job description

The Electrical Engineer – Power Systems at Dynapower, part of Sensata Technologies, is responsible for end‑to‑end electrical system design—from concept and schematic development through drafting, design for manufacturing (DFM), testing, and production release.

Responsibilities
  • Key participant in creating designs within inter‑disciplinary teams to address complex product design and manufacturing challenges
  • Collaborates on feasibility studies and testing on new and modified designs
  • Organizes development testing, engineering analysis, qualification testing, and production launch
  • Key participant in failure analysis investigations and engineering evaluations
  • Maintains product documentation (drawings and specifications) and lessons, including producing design reports, test reports, operating manuals and test procedures
  • Collaborates with senior engineers/managers to engage with customers in soliciting product specifications, schedule expectations, and budget
Experience & Qualifications
  • University degree required (e.g., Bachelor's) or equivalent relevant work experience
  • Team player able to work in a fast‑paced environment with demonstrated ability to handle multiple competing tasks and demands
  • Strong communication skills: oral, written, and presentation
  • Strong organizational, planning, and time‑management skills to achieve results
  • Strong personal and professional ethical values and integrity
  • Self‑accountable to achieving goals and standards
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
  • Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills to work effectively with all levels of the organization, including suppliers and external customers
Preferred Experience
  • Preferred experience in PLC and HMI development
Electrical Design & Drafting
  • Develop electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and system layouts (AutoCAD Electrical or similar)
  • Create and maintain accurate engineering drawings and documentation for production
  • Ensure designs meet industry standards, safety requirements, and internal specifications
  • Design electrical systems with manufacturability, cost, and reliability in mind (Design for Manufacturing – DFM)
  • Partner with manufacturing and operations teams to optimize builds and production processes
  • Support prototyping, pilot builds, and production ramp
  • Incorporate feedback from manufacturing, field service, and quality into design improvements
Base Salary

$95,920.00 – $131,890.00
