Job description

Job Description BAE Systems is seeking an entry level Technical Writer/Editor to support our work as a prime contractor on a high-profile U.S. Navy weapon system program. Strong attentional to detail, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to work well independently and with others are important traits we expect the successful candidate to possess and demonstrate.
This position is responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to producing and editing technical documents and technical procedure manuals such as: Strategic Systems Program Instructions (SSPINSTs), Weapon System Maintenance documents, Ordnance Pamphlets (OPs), Ordnance Documents (ODs), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and related documentation to include but not limited to, governing documents, correspondence, document technical specifications and work instruction. This role requires close collaboration with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), Technologists, and other Technical Editors to ensure documentation is accurate, consistent, and compliant with established standards. This role has the potential to assist in the management of model configuration, libraries, and reusable elements within the MBSE environment to maintain integrity and consistency.

  • Self-starter with a proven ability to learn and quickly grasp complex concepts to convey them clearly and accurately
  • Ability to manage conflicting tasking with an eye for prioritization
  • Must be able to lift 40 pounds
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
  • Familiarity with Python, Matlab, SysML, or other programming languages
  • Familiarity utilizing modeling tools such as Cameo Systems Modeler
  • Familiarity with Content Management Systems (CMS) tools such as SharePoint or Confluence
  • Interest in exploring Systems Engineering/Digital Engineering/Systems Modeling

Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $56401 - $95881
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
