Job Description:
The E-commerce Merchandising Planner is responsible for driving sales, margin, and availability across the convenience retail online channel. The role blends sales planning, digital merchandising, and data analysis to ensure the right products are online, priced plannincorrectly, promoted effectively, and supported by strong stock availability-while reflecting the fast-moving nature of convenience retail.
Responsibilities:
  • Own and optimize the online product assortment for the convenience e-commerce channel, ensuring relevance to core customer missions such as top-up, impulse, food-to-go, and essentials.
  • Plan and execute online merchandising and promotional activity aligned to merchandising and marketing calendars, including new product launches, assortment changes, and delists.
  • Optimize category navigation, product visibility, and onsite placement to maximize conversion, sales, and customer engagement.
  • Build and manage sales, volume, and margin forecasts by category and campaign, reforecasting in response to key performance indicators and emerging trends.
  • Balance customer appeal, financial targets, and operational constraints when planning promotions and activity.
  • Work closely with cross functional teams to align demand forecasts with availability across delivery, click-and-collect, and store-based fulfilment.
  • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators including sales, conversion, AOV, margin, and availability to identify risks and opportunities to make recommendations.
  • Use customer behavior and mission data to inform merchandising decisions, assortment optimization, and performance improvements.
  • Partner cross-functionally with merchandising, marketing, operations, accounting, and information systems teams to ensure effective execution of campaigns and rapid resolution of trading issues.
  • Support campaign execution and troubleshoot trading issues in real time.

Qualifications:
  • Experience in merchandising, planning, or trading roles (e-commerce or retail preferred)
  • Background in convenience, grocery, FMCG, or food retail is highly desirable
  • Familiarity with online platforms, menu management tools, and analytics software
