Job description


The E-Commerce Specialist is responsible for internet/web marketing activities that increase e-commerce business. Exempt associates are expected to work as much of each workday as is necessary to complete their job responsibilities.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • College degree preferred; at least one year of digital marketing, hotel marketing or revenue management experience highly desired.
  • Able to speak, read, write and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace.
  • Able to read and write to facilitate the communication process.
  • Detail oriented and organized with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Able to develop and deliver effective presentations.
  • Participate as part of a team.
  • Able to travel.
  • Present ideas, expectations and information in a concise, well-organized way.
  • Manage time well, correctly prioritizing tasks.
  • Prepare special reports or projects, as requested.
  • Attend all required meetings.
  • Possess computer skills, including, but not limited to, Microsoft Word, Excel, & Outlook.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assists in organizing, coordinating and/or managing internal/external hotel(s) and/or marketing, advertising, promotion and public relations projects.
  • Act as liaison between the hotel(s) alongside sales and marketing support, outside agencies and contracted vendors/service providers.
  • Practices overall project coordination and monitors the cost and status of all related sales & marketing expense items.
  • Assists hotel(s) in the development and implementation of internal/external electronic communication
  • Coordinates updates and assist in the oversight of hotel websites and hotel listings on third party websites sites including special promotions, accurate loading of hotel information, competitive analysis, trends and recommendations
  • Performs special projects and other responsibilities as assigned and participates in task forces and committees as requested
  • In addition to performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions, with the percentage of time performing each function to be solely determined by the supervisor based upon the particular requirements of the company.
  • Support Head of eCommerce, eCommerce Directors and eCommerce Managers.
  • Assist in the coordination of travel, business meetings and conference calls.
  • Prepare monthly/quarterly eCommerce reports
  • Other duties as assigned by management
