Position Description: We’re hiring an Entry-Level Cybersecurity Systems Administrator in Colorado Springs, CO. We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented cybersecurity administrator to be responsible for assisting with desktop, mobile, and network security, as well as troubleshooting network access issues at our organization. You will work under the guidance of senior team members and help implement network security policies and procedures. Your contribution will support the Space Systems Command in Colorado Springs at Schriever Space Force Base. Work Location: Schriever Space Force Base Pay and Benefits: • Up to $36/hr - $43/hr • Full benefits package to include medical, dental, employer matching retirement plan, and more! Duties and Responsibilities: • Assist in performing technical scans on hardware, operating systems, and software to identify system vulnerabilities • Help with necessary system configuration tasks on Linux and Windows machines to mitigate vulnerabilities under the supervision of experienced staff • Support the ISSO in managing cybersecurity requirements in a TS/SCI Special Access Program for Space System Command in Colorado Springs at multiple sites • Aid in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of cybersecurity tools, including Trellix, HBSS, ACAS, and SolarWinds • Participate in installation, configuration, and troubleshooting tasks to improve the security of software and systems • Maintain accurate documentation of all technical procedures and tasks • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to achieve mission objectives Required Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field (relevant coursework or projects may be considered as experience) and 2 years of experience. Four (4) years’ of relevant IT and/or cyber experience will be accepted in lieu of degree. • Active Top Secret or DoE Q clearance with SCI eligibility (must be eligible for SCI indoctrination within first 3 months of start date) and be able to obtain and maintain TS/SCI • CompTIA Security+ or equivalent certification required for DoD 8570 Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level 2 compliance • Basic understanding of cybersecurity principles and practices • Experience with Linux based operating systems is a plus • Familiarity with enterprise tools and their installation, configuration and maintenance Desired Skills and Experience: • Familiarity with common cybersecurity tools and frameworks such as SCAPs, STIGs, ACAS, Nessus, etc. • Basic scripting skills in languages like Python, Powershell, or Bash • Exposure to tools used for scanning and securing source code, such as Fortify • Familiarity with networking tools and concepts, including Cisco products • Experience with virtualization tools like VMware, VirtualBox, or various hypervisors is a plus DoD Security: • Position is only open to US Citizens • Must possess an active Top Secret or DoE Q clearance with SCI eligibility (must be eligible for SCI indoctrination within first 3 months of start date) and be able to obtain and maintain TS/SCI
