Job description

Koniag IT Systems, LLC (KITS), a Koniag Government Services (KGS) company, is hiring a Administrative Security Specialist to support daily operations in security administration. The candidate will assist in ensuring compliance with all applicable security policies, directives, and procedures while providing administrative support to security programs across personnel, physical, special, and information security functions. Position requires an active Top Secret/SCI clearance with ability to obtain additional security requirements. Please do not apply if you do not possess the required Top Secret Clearance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for security-related administrative functions and security customer service support within the office.
  • Support the processing and maintenance of security clearance documentation, visit requests, and access authorizations.
  • Maintain and update security databases, records, and personnel security files in compliance with DoD and federal regulations.
  • Support physical security operations, including badge issuance, and facility access control.
  • Track, file, and monitor correspondence in accordance with DoD security protocols.
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders on security matters, ensuring timely communication and documentation.
  • Provide administrative support to the Security Manager, including scheduling, filing, and records management.

Required Qualifications:
  • U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain/maintain a TS-SCI security clearance.
  • Exceptional customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of DoD security policies, directives, and procedures related to personnel, physical, and information security.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Active Top Secret/SCI security clearance required. Do not apply if you do not meet this requirement.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Prior experience supporting DoD, federal, or contractor security programs.
  • Familiarity with DISS, JPAS, eQIP, or other security clearance systems.
  • Knowledge of industrial security regulations (NISPOM, ICDs, DoDM 5200.01, etc.).
  • Previous experience in an administrative or security support role.

Clearance Required:
Position requires active Top Secret/SCI Clearance with ability to obtain additional security requirements.
