About the Role 

We are seeking a hands-on, experienced Medication Technician to join our healthcare family. You'll be responsible for providing essential care by accurately administering medications and treatments to our residents. You'll ensure their well-being by maintaining precise records, ensuring every dose is accounted for and documented correctly. Your careful attention to detail and ability to follow protocols will be key to providing the high-quality care our community deserves.

Responsibilities

What You'll Do 

  • Be a Patient Advocate: Actively assist nursing staff with direct patient care and respond to resident needs.
  • Ensure Accuracy & Safety: Meticulously manage medications, transcribe doctor's orders, and monitor for drug interactions.
  • Keep Things Running Smoothly: Handle crucial administrative tasks, including ordering medications and supplies, and communicating with doctors and families.
  • Collaborate and Report: Partner with nursing staff and leadership by reporting any discrepancies to the Director of Nursing.
  • Monitor Vitals: Take and record residents' vitals, and assist in resident care emergencies as needed.
Qualifications

What We're Looking For 

  • High school diploma or GED
  • CPR certified, Food handlers' certificate
  • CNA/HCA certified
  • One (1) year experience, preferred.
  • Senior living or geriatric experience preferred.
