Job description

BodySpec Radiologic Technologist Opportunity

BodySpec is revolutionizing preventive health with accessible DEXA scanning—and we need licensed Radiologic Technologists who want to be part of something bigger. We're not your typical clinical employer. We're a fast growing venture-backed startup building a nationwide network where you'll deliver professional grade body composition and bone density scans to motivated clients who actually want to be there. If you're seeking meaningful work, real ownership, and a team environment that values what you bring, this is it.

Part-time DEXA Technologists in NYC earn $53/hour plus performance bonuses and equity.

You'll Love This Job If You Have:

  • Passion for Preventive Health: You believe health is about more than treating illness—you want to help people understand their bodies and reach their goals.
  • Customer Service Instincts: You love one-on-one interaction and creating great experiences. You're warm, professional, and can make anyone feel comfortable—without the pressure of building your own book of business.
  • Startup Energy: You're energized by variety and building something new. Traditional healthcare feels slow and bureaucratic to you. You want to be part of a small, dynamic team where your work actually matters.
  • Grit and Flexibility: You don't mind early mornings or getting your hands dirty. You're resourceful—when something's broken, you fix it or propose solutions instead of waiting for someone else.

What Will You Do?

  • Perform DEXA scans (bone density and body composition) and guide clients through a seamless, professional experience
  • Own your scanning days—manage your schedule, equipment, and client flow with autonomy
  • Work in our storefront locations, delivering consistent, high-quality scans
  • Handle light administrative work and equipment care
  • Complete paid onboarding training (one week, travel covered) to learn our systems and scanning protocols

Schedule Part-time, weekends only with 8-hour shifts. Start times typically range from 7:00am to 12:00pm.

Requirements

  • New York State Radiography license
  • OR ARRT certification (Radiography)
  • Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program

Compensation

  • Hourly Rate: $53.00/hour
  • Performance Bonus: Up to 7% of base annually, half paid in cash, half in stock options
  • Team Revenue Bonus: $150/month when we hit monthly goals (we hit our goals 9 out of 12 months in 2025)
  • Equity: Stock options through performance bonus and additional grants based on performance

All team members regardless of position are eligible for additional stock option grants and profit sharing based on performance. We expect both cash and equity compensation to grow as the company scales.

Benefits

  • 401(k)
  • Paid time off
  • Sick leave
  • $75/month commute reimbursement
  • $10/shift meal stipend
  • Company-wide peer bonus program for recognizing excellent teamwork
  • Employee assistance program
  • Regular team events (both virtual and in-person)

Want a calmer pace, motivated clients, and a team that's actually fun to work with? As a DEXA Technologist at BodySpec, you'll specialize in preventive health scans in a startup environment where your work matters. Same clinical professionalism, better quality of life
