An Entry Level DevOps job involves supporting the development and operations teams by automating workflows, managing cloud infrastructure, and assisting with CI/CD pipelines. Responsibilities may include deploying code, monitoring system performance, and troubleshooting issues. This role typically requires basic knowledge of scripting, cloud platforms, and version control systems like Git. It's a great starting point for those looking to bridge the gap between development and IT operations.

What does an entry level DevOps do?

A typical day for an Entry Level Devops professional often includes monitoring infrastructure, managing deployments, and automating routine tasks under the guidance of more experienced team members. You'll collaborate closely with software developers and IT operations staff to ensure systems run smoothly and resolve any basic technical issues as they arise. Gaining certifications like AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner or learning tools such as Docker and Jenkins can improve your chances. Internships, personal projects, and online courses can also help build relevant skills for entry level DevOps roles.
