Job Description

Southern Team Auto Mall is looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Maintenance Technician. Building and maintaining a safe, and inviting environment for our customers and employees is at the heart of what we do. If you're reliable, motivated, and detail‑oriented, we'd love to have you on our team!

This position is not an entry-level position and will require you to be able to maintain and repair Electrical / HVAC / Plumbing /and Equipment systems. The appropriate candidate will need to be able to install and repair flooring, paint, perform light carpentry, and wall repairs. Hours — Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm.

Pay $20- $25/hr

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 1to 4 years maintenance/ engineering experience
  • Possess a thorough understanding of tools, safety equipment, and their proper uses
  • Electrical/ plumbing / HVAC
  • PROBLEM SOLVING SKILLS
  • Ability to lift 50-70lbs while working
  • Must have a valid Driver's License with an acceptable driving history
  • EPA certification (not required, but encouraged)
  • A great building maintenance technician is well-organized with strong skills in multi-tasking

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • You will be responsible for completing tasks efficiently and effectively.
  • Perform routine and preventative maintenance activities such as painting and carpentry, while assisting with electrical, plumbing, HVAC, fire protection, and security systems
  • Inspect facilities for functionality and safety
  • Support and conduct general upkeep of painting, electrical wiring, exterior grounds care, including landscaping, snow removal, and parking lot upkeep.
  • Perform other tasks assigned by the facilities' manager.
  • Communicate effectively with the manager of the facility (e.g. about emergencies)
  • Installs and replaces receptacles and switches; pulls wire; install light fixtures, ballasts, conduit, and computer wires
  • Troubleshoots and repairs electrical, electronic, refrigeration, and air conditioning malfunctions; repairs electric motors
  • Installs, services, and repairs heating and HVAC equipment
  • Respond to emergency maintenance requests with a calm, solutions-focused approach.

This is an in-person position and attendance is required in order to maintain employment.
