Job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a Junior .NET Developer to support application development, testing, debugging, documentation, and system configuration activities for a state government client. The selected candidate will work under direct supervision to design, code, test, modify, and troubleshoot software applications while translating business requirements into secure and maintainable development solutions.
This role is ideal for an entry-level or junior developer with foundational experience in .NET programming, SQL, application support, and problem-solving. The position will also support configuration activities for the GenTax® COTS application.
Key Responsibilities
Design, code, test, modify, and debug software applications under direct supervision.
Translate business requirements into development tasks and technical solutions.
Research, analyze, and troubleshoot program or system issues.
Develop and maintain technical and program documentation.
Write secure, maintainable, and reliable code.
Use SQL to query, analyze, and support application data.
Assist with configuration and support of the GenTax® COTS application.
Work with technical teams, business users, and project stakeholders to resolve application issues.
Participate in testing, defect resolution, and application support activities.
Collaborate effectively in a small team environment.
Required Qualifications
Minimum 1 year of experience with any .NET programming language.
Minimum 1 year of working knowledge of Structured Query Language, SQL.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work effectively in a small team environment.
Demonstrated resiliency, reliability, and willingness to learn.
Strong communication and documentation skills.
Must be a U.S. Citizen or Green Card / Permanent Resident.
Must be local to Metro Atlanta or willing to relocate to Georgia for the duration of the contract.

Compliance Requirements
Candidate must be compliant with Georgia tax obligations.
Candidate must provide a Georgia Tax Clearance Letter at the time of submission.
Client will conduct a background check.
Candidate must be able to pass fingerprinting requirements.
Candidates with overdue unpaid taxes or felony convictions will not be considered.
Candidate must be able to start within 10 business days after client selection.
