Key Responsibilities
  • Implement case lifecycle using Pega App Studio and Dev Studio

  • Configure data models, data validation, data types, transforms, and relationships

  • Build user interfaces (UI) and dashboards within Pega

  • Work with REST/SOAP APIs for system integration

  • Assist in designing and implementing RESTful APIs and microservices

  • Debug and resolve application issues using Pega tools (Tracer, Clipboard)

  • Collaborate in Agile teams, participate in daily stand-ups, and contribute to sprint deliverables, working closely with senior developers and business analysts

  • Maintain technical documentation for workflows, rules, and configurations while maintaining code quality standards

  • Develop and maintain applications using Java and Spring Boot

  • Perform unit and integration testing using JUnit and Mockito

  • Gain exposure to CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and Kubernetes for deployment

  • Work with SQL/NoSQL databases for data persistence

Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience

  • Hands-on programming skills in Python and/or Java with a good understanding of object-oriented programming

  • Good understanding distributed computing and one of the Cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP)

  • Knowledge of Data Science/AI/ML/Decisioning

  • Understanding of data structures & algorithms

  • Basic knowledge of REST/SOAP APIs for system integration

  • Basic knowledge of Docker/Kubernetes

  • Understanding of messaging systems (Kafka/RabbitMQ)

  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Jenkins or GitHub Actions

  • Good understanding of database concepts and proficiency in basic SQL for querying, analyzing, and managing data

  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills

Location
New hires will be hired to the Cognizant office in Mesa, AZ, where you will work alongside other experienced Cognizant associates delivering technology solutions. Applicants must be willing to relocate to this major geographic area. While we attempt to honor candidate location preferences, business needs and position availability will determine final location assignment.

Salary and Other Compensation:
The annual salary for this position is $65,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
