Role Summary

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or Engineering Technology.
  • 0-2 years of experience.
  • Pursuit of or have passed Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) Exam a plus.
  • Understanding of design software; experience with AutoCAD Electrical or Inventor is a plus.
  • Basic ability to comprehend and interpret safety codes, utility standards and regulations (NESC, AXCE, IEEE).
  • Developing analytical and organizational skills, with growing attention to detail and a willingness to learn problem-solving approaches.
  • Adaptable and eager to learn, with a foundational ability to collaborate with project teams in a multi-discipline environment.
  • Developing written and verbal communication skills with a strong willingness to learn and engage effectively with team members.
  • Valid Driver’s License is required.
Responsibilities
  • Assist in the design of high voltage substations (15 kV to 500 kV) using design software.
  • Implement client standards and applicable design codes and specifications related to design requirements.
  • Coordinate drawing development and CAD-based design tasks.
  • Collaborate with experienced engineers and contribute to knowledge-sharing while continuing to grow technical expertise.
  • Accountable for the quality of your deliverables and for supporting peer reviews to uphold team standards.
  • Engage with clients to clarify technical requirements, contribute to project updates, and ensure alignment with expectations.
  • Execute project tasks independently within established scope, schedule, and budget parameters.
  • Participate in occasional site walks for current projects. Less than 5% travel.
