Job description

Role Summary

FP Movement is seeking a Design Coordinator who will support the Design Team with administrative duties and tasks as needed in support of the creation, development and execution of own brand product design and development.

Role Responsibilities
  • Maintain an active role in the weekly Design Flow Meetings. Take notes and manage follow up communication on all outstanding issues in collaboration with Designer.
  • Support seasonal development calendar in partnership with designer/buyers/technical designers/production.
  • Execute specific design development projects as assigned by Designer and manage development and execution of trim and artwork packages.
  • Set up spec sheets for all private label product & assist Design Lead with market developments & follow-up communication as needed.
  • Partner with PD on the status of styles in development daily to ensure product execution meets design specifications and are on track in style development process.
  • Prepare development packages and participate in follow up communication related to each package.
  • Review incoming garments with Designer and PD partners to ensure they are correct and in line with original intent as well as brand standards.
  • Assist in sample preparation for monthly sales review meetings by collaborating with Designer on innovative presentations that effectively communicate line to Buyers and Brand leaders.
  • Perform special tasks as needed.
Role Qualifications
  • Design tools: Procreate, Adobe (Illustrator, Photoshop)
  • Experience putting together artwork and embellishment packages preferred
  • Excellent communication skills to communicate ideas and inspirations to others and to interact with Designers, Buyers and other Cross Functional partners. 
  • Strong organizational and relationship building skills and ability to intuitively respond and reprioritize as needs shift during the development process.
  • Self starter with a bias for action
  • Entry level technical knowledge of apparel construction.
  • Entry level knowledge design processes
  • Ability to clearly communicate.
