Job description


⎯ Experience in 3D modeling CAD tools such as Solidworks or Inventor
⎯ Experience in creation of 2D drawings for part and assembly, 3D modeling
⎯ Basic knowledge of GD&T and application
⎯ Knowledge of assembly and part tolerance stack ups
⎯ Able to build 3D models in a manner that allows later changes to be realized quickly and easily Other Skills/Experience
Preferred:
⎯ Hands on experience in building and fabrication of mechanical systems/machines
Responsibilities:
⎯ Develop and design mechanical systems/mechanisms with consideration to cost, functionality, manufacturability, and availability.
⎯ Design parts and systems in a manner that reflects the forming and fabrication processes and capabilities of the manufacturing and assembly tooling.
⎯ Create 2D drawings that are completed with enough data to ensure that the part can be manufactured, quoted, or gauged for functionality.
⎯ Apply geometric dimension and tolerancing to components and systems
⎯ Prepare and maintain the Bill of Materials (BOM).
