Position Summary: The Demand Planner is responsible for developing and maintaining the monthly demand forecast for assigned product categories. This role applies statistical forecasting methods, analyzes external demand drivers, and partners crossfunctionally through collaborative planning processes to produce reliable forecasts that support operational decisionmaking. The Demand Planner also plays a critical role in longrange strategic planning through active participation in the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process.

Duties / Responsibilities:

  • Manage the 0-18 month forecast horizon for all assigned products that generates the monthly Demand Plan at the SKU-Location level of detail. Collaborate with Sales, Product, Marketing, Design, Operations, and other relevant teams to gather input and incorporate into forecast.
  • Identify, develop, and implement KPIs relevant to Demand Planning. Reduce forecast error and bias over time by continuously improving forecast management process.
  • Work to enhance forecast accuracy utilizing a variety of mathematical approaches such as MAD, MSE, MAPE, WMA, EMA, Linear/Exponential Smoothing, etc.
  • Guide cross-functional teams to understand the current Demand Plan. Communicate key assumptions, changes to the forecast, and risks to forecast to relevant parties in a concise and timely manner.
  • Contribute and/or lead reoccurring S&OP meetings. Support the identification and mitigation of issues, reconciliation of plans, and organizational alignment.
  • Other duties as assigned by management. Reports to the Manager of Demand Planning.

Qualifications:

  • Four-year college degree with Bachelor's in Business Information Systems, Supply Chain Management, Accounting, Finance or related area.
  • 2-3 years relatable experience including functional knowledge Supply Chain, ERP systems experience preferred.
  • Highly motivated to study and learn how to utilize, enhance, and maintain the ERP and Oracle Planning modules most effectively.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact with a diverse group of team members, including business leadership, technology professionals, and subject matter experts (SMEs).
  • Previous experience with custom analytics and reports using ACL, IDEA, SQL, Tableau or other analytic software.
  • Ability to clearly articulate detailed steps of a process and provide visualizations of large amounts of data utilizing tools such as Tableau, Visio, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
  • Works efficiently with moderate supervision and has some latitude for independent judgement.

Physical Demands:

  • Must be able to consistently operate a computer and other office productivity machinery such as telephone, calculator, copy machine, computer printer, etc.
  • Must be able to communicate with others via phone, email, and in person. Must be able to exchange accurate information with others.
  • Constantly works in an indoor,temperature-controlled,sealed-window office environment.
  • Work primarily involves sitting / standing.

Travel:

  • Minimal travel may be required, <10% annually.
