Description:

Hi-Speed Industrial Service is seeking a motivated Entry-Level Motor Repair Technician to join our team. This position is ideal for someone who is interested in machinery and how it operates, has a basic mechanical aptitude, and is eager to learn about industrial electric motors, fans, pumps, and gearboxes. The right candidate will receive hands-on training and play an important role in helping keep our customers’ equipment operating safely and efficiently.

  • Assist in repairing and servicing industrial motors, fans, pumps, and gearboxes according to company and manufacturer standards.
  • Learn to test electromechanical equipment (AC and DC) to help identify known or suspected problems.
  • Assist with disassembling electromechanical equipment while learning proper parts identification and inspection methods.
  • Clean electromechanical equipment assemblies using approved methods and tools.
  • Assist with reassembling equipment and performing tests to ensure proper operation.
  • Complete basic paperwork and documentation electronically accurately and on time.
  • Operate shop tools and testing equipment under supervision and training.
  • Assist with field service work as needed.
  • Follow safety guidelines and proper procedures.


Requirements:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to:

  • Ability to safely climb ladders.
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds at times.
  • Must be able to climb multiple flights of stairs on a regular basis, up to 6 stories is common.
  • Ability to walk extensive distances greater than 10,000 steps per day at times.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
