Job description

AUTOKINITON is a Michigan-based automotive company delivering operational excellence, high-quality execution, and customer service. To help us drive excellence, you’ll get to:

  • Reads blueprints to determine dimensions and tolerance specifications per Geometric Dimension & Tolerance (GD&T) to Ansi 14.5 standards.
  • Performs in-depth part layout using direct drive CMM and bench layout.
  • Performs capability studies.
  • Certifies check fixtures and logs data into MQ1.
  • Perform gauge certification (dimensional).
  • Compares recorded measurements to blueprint dimensions and tolerances and notifies specified persons of discrepancies.
  • Assists with PPAP submissions.
  • Performs gauge R&R (repeatability and reproducibility).
  • This full-time hourly role, part of our Quality Team and reports to the Quality Manager.

 

Education and/or Experience: 

  • Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-Year College or technical school; or 2+ minimum related experience operating a CMM using PCDMIS and /or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Technical Skills:

  • Ability to work with the following software packages or programs:
  • Microsoft Office at an intermediate level
  • Effective email and electronic communication skills are required.
  • Ability to work with the following database programs and/or hardware:
  • MQ1 and QAD database at an intermediate level

Proficient In / Knowledge of:

  • Bench Layout
  • GD&T
  • Blueprint Reading
  • Statistics (SPC)
  • Gage R & R
  • Visual Defects & Audits
  • Work Instructions and Standards
