Summary
This entry level Business Analyst role is designed for a recent graduate with a Data Science or analytics background and is ideal for candidates with 0-1 years of experience, including internships, and co-ops. The role blends business analysis and data reporting, with an emphasis on data-driven insights and additional exposure to a variety of activities.
In this role, you will assist with identifing automation opportunities, supporting the maintenance of global systems applications and SharePoint sites, and Power BI reporting for the service user community. You will also contribute to project-related tasks, requiring strong organization and communication skills, while working closely with cross-functional teams to support reporting needs, improve processes, and contribute to ongoing system enhancements.
This is an on-site contract position supporting reporting, analytics, and systems initiatives within the Global Service Systems team, and offers strong learning opportunities and exposure to real-world business and technical challenges in a regulated environment.
What You'll Work On:
You will participate in a team-oriented environment to contribute to the definition and development of user interfaces, business rules, and data management applications. The job function includes receiving guidance and mentorship from senior team members as well as sharing new perspectives and ideas with experienced team members.
  • Assist with supporting and maintaining the systems and applications driving the service organization.
  • Document and identify opportunities for automation of existing activities and processes
  • Create or assist with reports and dashboards in Power BI or other visualization tools to support business and operational reporting.
  • Perform basic data validation, cleansing, and reconciliation to ensure reporting accuracy and ensure compliance with data governance, privacy, and security policies.
  • Document report logic, data definitions, business rules, and process flows.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives by revealing trends and opportunities through data analysis and visualization.
  • Partner with business stakeholders and technical teams to translate requirements into reporting or system enhancements.
  • Participate in user acceptance testing for system updates, reports, or enhancements.
  • Drive ongoing improvements to dashboards, reporting layouts, and system interactions to enhance user experience.
Education and Experience You'll Bring:
Education and Core Skills
  • B.S. in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related analytical field is required.
  • Foundational knowledge of data analysis, statistics, and reporting concepts.
  • Basic understanding of business analysis concepts such as requirements gathering and process mapping.
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal) skills are essential.
  • Able to collaborate and coordinate activities with other team members on ongoing projects.
  • Willingness to learn new tools, data sources, and business processes.
Minimum Technical Skills
  • Use of Power BI or similar business intelligence tools including datasets, visuals, basic DAX calculations.
  • Basic knowledge of SQL for data querying.
  • Familiarity with Excel for reporting and data analysis
  • Exposure to Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), change management, and testing methodologies.
  • Exposure to Power Automate or other automation tools.
  • Understanding of KPIs, metrics, and performance reporting.
