Role Summary:

The Business Development Associate is a key player in promoting and expanding our Information Technology Asset Dispositioning Services (ITAD). This role involves identifying new business opportunities, building client relationships, and creating client awareness within the ITAD industry. 

The candidate will act as an entry level Account Executive in identifying areas of opportunities for business growth.  They will be given a market segment of existing and new customer base.  They will be expected to reach out to them via phone and email to establish chains of communication (for new clients) and further the relationship (for the repeat clients).  They will be expected to listen to the clients data security concerns, their organizations IT asset dispositioning guidance and act as their representative internally. The candidate will be required to build strong relationships with information technology officers in each of their client organizations.

This is a long term role best suited for career-oriented professionals.  Winning candidate will be fully trained in the Information Technology Assets Dispositioning for the asset base of their relevant clientele. The position starts off with base pay of $16/hr.  However, upon completion of training and execution of full role ownership, the candidate will be paid competitive commissions and bonuses on top of base pay (subject to performance). ALL NECESSARY TRAININGS WILL BE PROVIDED.  

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain virtual relationships with clients, and partners.

  • Research and identify potential clients within the ITAD industry.

  • Have solid understanding of information technology assets

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients virtually.

  • Prepare and deliver marketing pitch and proposals to clients and stakeholders.

  • Play an active role in expanding the marketing department and assist in executing business development strategies.

  • Coordinate with the operations team to understand service capabilities and limitations.

  • Negotiate contracts with clients and work closely with management to finalize agreements.

  • Stay up-to-date with market trends, competitor promotions, and regulatory developments in the ITAD industry.

  • Achieve and exceed monthly and annual client outreach targets.

  • Provide feedback and insights from clients to internal teams to help improve service offerings.

  • Attend industry conferences, meetings, and other networking events to represent the company and find new business opportunities.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in sales or business development, preferably within the Information Technology Asset Management or Procurement Department.

  • Good understanding of the Information Technology Industry, including market dynamics and regulations.

  • Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills.

  • Ability to build rapport quickly with clients and partners.

  • Effective communication and presentation skills.

  • Proficient in Google Docs, Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.

  • Proactive and self-motivated with a results-driven approach.

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, environmental science, or related field is preferred but not required.
