Entry-Level Data Center Cable Technician

Location: Altoona, IA (Relocation Required)

Duration: 4-Month Contract-to-Hire

TEKsystems is seeking motivated, reliable, and hardworking individuals for an entry-level Data Center Technician opportunity in Altoona, Iowa. No extensive experience required. If you have construction, telecom, cabling, or hands-on mechanical experience and are eager to learn, we want to hear from you.

What You'll Do
  • Install and support low-voltage cabling systems in large-scale data center environments
  • Pull, route, and dress copper and fiber optic cable
  • Install cable trays, J-hooks, D-rings, and other cable support systems
  • Assist with rack and stack activities, patch panels, and equipment installation
  • Terminate and label cables according to project standards
  • Read and follow blueprints, diagrams, and project documentation
  • Use hand tools safely and effectively
  • Work on active construction sites while maintaining safety and quality standards
  • Support data center build-outs and infrastructure expansion projects

Required:

  • Willingness to relocate to Altoona, IA for the initial 4-month contract assignment
