The Role

As an Associate Editor you have the opportunity to take your first steps on a hugely rewarding career path. This is an entry-level graduate role, working with a team of brilliant people from whom you can learn a huge amount and develop your own skills. Supporting communication of data for state-of-the art medicines, on a day-to-day basis your job will be to deliver high-quality editing and proofreading support, including verifying data and references, to ensure the accuracy, consistency, and scientific integrity of client deliverables. All work will be delivered in line with Prime’s Standard Operating Procedures and quality frameworks to maintain accuracy, compliance, and consistency.

Our Editors review and edit a wide range of content outputs (including manuscripts, abstracts, posters, slides, PDFs, and digital materials) for grammar, spelling, consistency, and clarity while ensuring alignment with house, client and journal style guides. They apply consistent and appropriate use of digital markup tools, tracked changes and comments to provide clear, actionable editorial feedback.

The right candidate will have impeccable English spelling, punctuation and grammar skills, and will display meticulous attention to detail. Extensive training and mentoring from industry experts will be provided to support the start of your career at Prime.

Key Responsibilities:

  • An entry-level role in the Editor team, working alongside a senior member of the Editor team to deliver high-quality editing and proofreading, including verifying data and references, to ensure the accuracy, consistency, and scientific integrity of client deliverables.
  • Comply with Prime’s Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and quality frameworks to maintain accuracy, compliance, and consistency across all deliverables.
  • Contribute to effective and timely project delivery by performing dummy submissions, ensuring the team is aware of specific requirements and submission of abstracts, posters, and manuscripts.
  • Proactively communicate and collaborate with internal teams to ensure best practice is being followed.
  • Contribute to the continual improvement of editorial processes.
