Data labelers follow guidelines to accurately annotate data, making it understandable for computers. This role typically requires attention to detail, basic computer skills, and the ability to follow instructions. It is often a starting point for those interested in artificial intelligence or data science fields, and may be remote or on-site depending on the company.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as an entry level data labeling specialist?

To thrive in entry level data labeling, you need attention to detail, basic computer literacy, and a high school diploma or equivalent. Familiarity with data annotation platforms, spreadsheets, and sometimes simple image or audio editing tools is beneficial. Strong focus, reliability, and the ability to follow detailed instructions set outstanding candidates apart. These skills ensure labeled data is accurate and consistent, which is critical for training effective machine learning models.

What are some common challenges faced in an entry level data labeling role, and how can they be managed?

Entry level data labeling roles often involve repetitive tasks that require high attention to detail and consistency, which can sometimes lead to fatigue or decreased concentration. To manage these challenges, it's important to take regular breaks, communicate with your team about any ambiguities in the labeling guidelines, and utilize available training materials. • Industrial Waste Disposal: Empty heavy-duty plant trash bins, dump plastic resin scraps, and transport bulk waste to industrial compactors.

  • Machinery Area Upkeep: Wipe down the exterior surfaces of injection molding machines and auxiliary equipment without disrupting active operations.

  • Shift Sanitation: Clean, disinfect, and restock restrooms, breakrooms, locker rooms, and administrative offices daily.

  • Supply & Chemical Management: Safely store, label, and mix industrial cleaning chemicals in strict accordance with OSHA and Safety Data Sheet (SDS) guidelines.

  • Dock Cleanliness: Keep shipping docks, loading ramps, and dumpster areas clear of discarded pallets, strapping, and plastic wrap.

  • Operational Flexibility: Perform additional tasks as assigned or needed by management.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Work Authorization: Must be authorized to work in the United States.

  • Experience: Reliable entry-level candidates

  • Physical Stamina: Ability to stand and walk on concrete floors for a 9-hour shift, bend, kneel, and safely lift up to 50–75 pounds.

  • Bilingual: In English and Spanish.

Employment Status & Union Enrollment
