Job description

We are hiring Entry-Level Data Center Technicians for data center construction projects in Lenoir, NC. This opportunity is ideal for dependable, hands-on candidates interested in starting a career in structured cabling and mission-critical environments.

Pay: $23–$28 per hour, depending on experience

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with pulling, routing, dressing, and labeling Cat5e, Cat6, Cat6A, and fiber-optic cable
  • Install cable-support systems such as J-hooks, ladder racks, cable tray, and basket tray
  • Assist with building server racks, patch panels, and data center pathways
  • Support rack-and-stack, equipment placement, and cable-management work
  • Follow project drawings, labeling standards, and supervisor instructions
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Follow all jobsite and data center safety requirements

Requirements:

  • Strong willingness to learn and take direction
  • Dependable attendance and professional communication
  • Reliable transportation to jobsites in Lenoir, NC
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to work from ladders and in active construction environments
  • Ability to perform physical work throughout the shift

Preferred Experience:

  • Construction, warehouse, cabling, telecommunications, IT hardware, or mechanical experience
  • Familiarity with hand tools or power tools
  • Previous experience working in a commercial or industrial environment
