Entry Level position
• High School Diploma or GED
• 2 years general office skills with previous customer service experience required.
• Intermediate Computer, Microsoft Office, and data entry experience required.
• Ability to interact and communicate with individuals of diverse backgrounds, Public, and other staff members.
• Must be able to multitask in high pressured, fast-paced and stressful situations, in a calm and professional manner.
• Must be willing to work in a team setting with a positive attitude as well as independently.
• Willingness to cross-train and accept additional duties as assigned
• Must be punctual, dependable, able to meet attendance requirements and work any schedule assigned.
• Must be detail oriented and possess good organizational skills
• Ability to prioritize work assignments
• Cashier/Money handling experience required
  • Must have the ability to work in person, not remote.

Primary Job Duties
• Greets litigants, determines nature of the visit, assist citizens with Court and County Government procedures.
• Accurate and efficient cashiering duties, including payment processing for civil and criminal cases.
• Perform extensive computerized data entry for all case filings with accuracy.
• Provide excellent customer service and maintain professional communication in all formats.
• Answer high call volumes from various litigants, departments, and attorneys and handle with professionalism
• Willing to cross train and accept any other additional duties as assigned or required by supervisor.
After receiving a conditional offer of employment, applicant must pass a drug screen (1/2 cost = $20.00, responsibility of applicant) and may need a physical agility test (1/2 cost = $22.50, responsibility of applicant) before becoming an employee of Montgomery County.
