Job description

Weekday Shift

Monday - Thursday

7:00 AM - 5:30 PM

$17.00 per hour

Performs all necessary warehouse tasks pertaining to, but not limited to receiving, picking, replenishment, packing, put away and the transfer of inventory timely and accurately. The tasks should be completed in a manner that meets company standards for safety, security and productivity.  

Must be able to work within the 3 areas of Black Diamond Distribution Center, Show up on Time, Follow Your Standard Work, and Help us Improve. More details regarding these three functions are listed below in Essential Functions.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education

Required:    

High school diploma or GED

Work Experience    

Required:    

Entry level, no experience required

Preferred:    

6+ months experience picking/packing/shipping customer orders in a warehouse environment
Skills and general experience:  

Must be energetic and self-directed. Ability to read, write and converse in English is required. Basic mathematics knowledge. Basic problem solving and organizing skills. Demonstrated proficiency in manual dexterity. Basic computer skills, spreadsheet and data entry required. Good interpersonal and communication skills are necessary. Company product knowledge and experience in the outdoor industry is helpful but not required.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
General physical requirements:

Close, color, depth perception, peripheral vision, ability to adjust focus
Motion and sensory requirements:  Reaching, Standing, Walking, Pushing, Pulling, Lifting, Fingering, Grasping, Feeling, Talking, Hearing, Repetitive Motions

Noise, hazards, atmospheric conditions 


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
1.    SHOW UP ON TIME
a.    Must be in your work area at the start of your shift, at the end of lunch, and after designated break times. 
b.    Stay on task during the assigned work hours
c.    Required to notify the Lead, Supervisor or Manager if it’s necessary to leave the work area for non-work related reasons.  
d.    Must clock out for all non-work related absences


2.    FOLLOW YOUR STANDARD WORK
a.    Able to read, understand and follow all prescribed process training documentation for an assigned task.    
b.    Meets or exceeds output and productivity goals as defined by the DC Management.
c.    Responsible for receiving, put away, replenishment, picking, packing, shipping in accordance with DC policies and procedures
d.    Assist with routine cycle counting and physical inventory counts as directed by Leads or DC Management
e.    Maintains a high standard of quality and accuracy throughout daily tasks
f.    Work with team members in a courteous, constructive, and professional manner that helps promote a collaborative team environment and ensure the success of the team.
i.    Respectful communication with all Black Diamond Equipment employees is required. 
g.    Responsible for upholding cleanliness and orderliness guidelines. 
h.    Responsible for following all established safety procedures. 
i.    Responsible to complete all tasks as you have been trained and instructed to do so.  
j.    Requires flexibility within the following areas: 
i.    Ability to be trained and help in other tasks within the Distribution Center as the workload fluctuates 
ii.    Must be willing to adhere to schedule changes and / or required overtime due to seasonal volume increases
k.    Adherence to all other Black Diamond Equipment policies at all times. 

3.    HELP US IMPROVE
a.    Continually identify ways to improve process, safety or reduce waste within our operation. 
b.    Work with your Lead to find and implement solutions. 
c.    Responsible to inform Lead of problems with equipment or defects and if possible suggest solutions.
