The Role:

This entry-level role is perfect for someone looking to grow their career in hospitality accounting. You’ll support day-to-day financial operations for multiple restaurants and hotels while learning from a team of experienced professionals. If you're highly organized, love working with numbers, and want to be part of a purpose-driven company, this could be the perfect next step for you.

As the Accounting Assistant, you’ll work closely with the Controller and accounting team to ensure timely and accurate processing of financial tasks. You’ll support invoice approvals, data entry, vendor reconciliations, and general administrative functions to help keep the back office running smoothly.

What we will ask of you:

  •   Assist Accounts Payable and Accountants with invoice entry, vendor reconciliation, and credit application submissions
  • Monitor and track alcohol vendor invoicing and help identify any discrepancies
  • Assist with data pulls for insurance audits, internal reports, and compliance documentation
  • Maintain accurate digital and physical filing systems, including scanning, storing, and organizing accounting records
  • Order new checks and office supplies as needed
  • Help oversee weekly payables and check runs, ensuring deadlines are met
  • Support the accounting team on ad hoc tasks and special projects as assigned by the Controller
  • Contribute to a collaborative, service-driven work culture that reflects The Indigo Road’s commitment to hospitality—even in our back-of-house operations

Requirements for Success:

  •  College degree preferred (Accounting, Finance, or related field)
  • Prior exposure to accounting or administrative roles is a plus, but not required
  • Familiarity with QuickBooks and Fintech is a bonus
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word
  • A positive attitude and willingness to learn—you're organized, eager, and thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality, stay organized, and manage time effectively
  • Dependable and accountable with a high level of accuracy
  • Comfortable working in a collaborative, deadline-driven environment
