An Entry Level Data Analyst in government is responsible for collecting, organizing, and analyzing data to support decision-making and improve public services. They often work with large datasets, use statistical tools, and create reports or visualizations to communicate findings to colleagues and stakeholders. Typical tasks may include cleaning data, identifying trends, and helping departments use data to increase efficiency or transparency.
