Job Description Summary

The Account Manager is responsible for customer management and leading sales for a geographic region. This involves consistent face-to-face visits with existing customers expanding portfolio to existing customers and cold calling on new customers. This position must understand B&W's products and services and be able to provide solutions to customers from B&W offerings. Success in this position will be defined quantity and quality of opportunities, achieving incremental growth and demonstrating customer diversity in various markets.

Specific Duties

  • Achieve or exceed bookings (50%)

  • Plan visits/development of customer relationships

  • Full understanding of our customer's equipment

  • Expert knowledge of our product lines

  • Cold calls to potential customers

  • Warm calls to leads/existing customers

  • Customer Relationship Management (35%):

  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships

  • Responsible for customer troubleshooting/escalation to appropriate subject matter expert for solution

  • Educate customers on new/enhanced product lines/services

  • Business Expansion (15%)

  • Demonstrate the use of data analytics and marketing to produce successful targeted sales campaigns

  • Demonstrate execution of self-designed territory plan

  • Increase service market (Field Service, Construction, Service Projects, etc.)

  • Actively pursue customer feedback

  • Keep Customer Relationship Management software records up-to-date

  • Other duties as assigned by the Company

Education and/or Relevant Experience

  • University Degree, College Diploma or 1-2 years Sales Experience

Candidate Requirements

  • A qualified candidate should have a mechanical aptitude and direct sales experience

  • Sales experience in this market presently is a plus, but not essential

  • Experience with pulp and paper mills, general industrial sites, oil and gas facilities, and/or utility sites would be an asset.

  • Experience with unionized construction services business, with plant turnaround planning a plus.
