Job description

Responsibilities

We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative Circuit Support Specialist to join our team in the greater DMV area, supporting the Army National Guard.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with monitoring circuit health and basic diagnostics; escalate outages, performance degradations, and configuration discrepancies to senior engineers or carriers.
  • Maintain circuit inventories, status logs, service orders, and maintenance records in the authoritative repository.
  • Support provisioning, activation validation, and disconnect coordination by preparing service orders, tracking SLAs, and following up with vendors under senior guidance.
  • Perform basic connectivity tests and verification steps to confirm circuit activations and bandwidth allocations.
  • Document circuit configurations, test results, and maintenance activities to support auditability and operational visibility.
  • Communicate circuit status updates to internal teams and participate in outage/restoration coordination as required.
  • Follow established procedures and escalation paths; support ticketing workflows and update incident/case records.

Required

  • 0 years with BS/BA; 4 years no degree
  • Active TS/SCI clearance.
  • Candidate must meet ONE:
    • Completion of relevant DoD/military training (examples: 411C20B (CP), 10225S10, Network Operations Specialist (Basic) Playlist); OR
    • Relevant entrylevel certification (examples: CND, Network+); OR
    • Equivalent documented relevant experience.
  • Minimum 0-2 years experience in network or telecommunications support, or demonstrated trainee capability.
  • Familiarity with basic network testing tools, ticketing systems, and inventory/CMDB updates.
  • Strong attention to detail, clear written/verbal communication, and ability to follow technical procedures.

Desired

  • Prior exposure to NIPR/SIPR or DoD network environments.
  • Experience with circuit activation test procedures, basic routing/switching concepts, and vendor coordination.
  • Willingness to work shifts or provide afterhours support during outage events.

Target Salary Range$51,000 - $82,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual's experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations.
