The Opportunity:
As a cyber security specialist, you understand the value of cyber requirements and hunt-forward operations, and you know that battles are won in the grey. At Booz Allen, you can use your cyber security experience to create solutions that will be executed on a worldwide stage. We're looking for an experienced cyber mission specialist like you to apply your knowledge in Risk Management Framework (RMF), applying system updates, patches, conducting various scans to maintain cyber compliance, and perform eMASS administration to help our team sustain next-gen software solutions for the U.S. military.
In this role, you'll be counted on to understand system capabilities and its associated cyber posture to identify and evaluate potential weaknesses as well as the effectiveness of mitigations for cyber security solutions. As a client-facing asset, you will provide direct communications to the Customer to articulate technical challenges, risks, and solution options that are executable and affordable. Your ability to work in eMASS will be vital as you identify schedule-driven requirements and delivery dates that must be met for systems to achieve or maintain their Authority to Operate (ATO).
This is an opportunity to apply and sharpen your eMASS and cyber security skillsets while also becoming a critical asset that is responsible for both maintaining and upgrading deployed systems on tactical networks. We focus on growing as a team, so you'll share your expertise through leadership and mentoring as you help the team work through challenges and develop new methodologies. As a leader, you'll identify new opportunities to modernize and streamline the DevSecOps process so your clients can achieve their goals. You Have:
  • 5+ years of experience as a cyber security analyst and adherence to NETCOM's RMF process
  • 5+ years of experience with monitoring and Cybersecurity tools such as ACAS Security Center, Evaluate STIG, SCAP, STIG Viewer, and Nessus Scanner
  • 5+ years of experience using eMASS and generating the artifacts required for an Army ATO or Interim Authority to Test (IATT)
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
  • Knowledge of system hardening and security best practices
  • Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in a Computer Science, Engineering, or Cybersecurity field

Nice If You Have:
  • Experience configuring and hardening RHEL 8, 9, 10, or various Windows Operating Systems
  • Experience with virtualization technologies including VMWare, Hypervisor, or KVM
  • Ability to perform shell scripting and automation including Bash, Python, or Ansible

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $86,800.00 to $198,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
